Dentistry is not a stagnant profession; it is constantly changing.  Technology is rapidly evolving, techniques are being revised and improved, and paradigms about optimal health and care are being updated.   Our goal is not simply to “keep up” with change, but rather stay ahead of it.

Our doctors have attended courses studying updates in advanced cardiac life support, as well as studying with the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology in Houston and Las Vegas.  These courses were important in staying current with the latest safety protocols and techniques relevant to IV Sedation.

Stanley Dental is committed to treating our patients with a very integrative, health-centered approach.  We commit a great deal of time studying the latest science, research and techniques in order to treat our patients in this manner.  The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology is an organization dedicated to educating dentists and physicians extensively in the subject of biological, mercury-free dentistry.  Our doctors recently attended several IAOMT courses in Minneapolis, South Carolina and Las Vegas.  We’ve also participated in classes taught by the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry teaching the latest in incorporating Ozone Therapy into our practice.

Other courses recently attend by our doctors and team include:  Texas Dental Association Annual Meeting in San Antonio, studying the latest regarding sleep medicine in dentistry as well as team building classes, and the Pankey Institute in Miami, Florida, where our doctors have studied intensive curriculum providing philosophical as well as technical skills related to practice management, advanced occlusion, advanced restorative techniques and treatment of TMD.

Some future Continuing Education classes include an IAOMT meeting next spring in Canada, as well as courses in soft tissue laser therapy.
