Financial Policy

Financial Arrangements

We are committed to providing our patients with the best possible care.  To do so, we will help you choose an appropriate master plan, then work with you in developing a financial plan that fits your time schedule, treatment goals, and budget.  Payment options include cash, personal checks, credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express).  If finance options are needed we offer Care Credit.

Dental Insurance

We are pleased you have dental insurance benefits, and want to help you receive the maximum allowable benefits according to the quality of your policy.  Our office is insurance friendly, and may be willing to work with your insurance company, as well as file your insurance, as a courtesy to you.

Because dental insurance varies so widely, we will attempt to help you determine how your policy fits into your financial plan. We must emphasize that as dental care providers, our relationship and commitment is to you, not your insurance.  For this reason, we are non-restricted providers and therefore are not members of any group network insurance plans or PPO’s. This allows you as a patient and us as providers the freedom to choose the treatment, quality materials, and protocols most appropriate to your individual needs.  In most cases, insurance companies will allow you to choose a provider outside of their network with only minor changes in benefits.

Regardless of your insurance coverage, all charges are your responsibility from the date the services are rendered. Payment for services will be due at the time.

[EXPAND Questions about Medical Insurance vs. Dental Insurance?]

Medical insurance is intended to cover large issues with $2-3,000,000 maximums.  Deductibles may range from $500 to $5,000, and premiums may range from $1,000 to $2,000 per month.  Dental insurance is intended mostly for minor repair and maintenance.  Deductibles are low and yearly maximums may range from $500 to $2,000, with most averaging around $1,000.  It is important to keep this in mind regarding the expectations of your insurance policy.  Consider dental insurance to be like a coupon; it gets you some return but is not intended to pay for the whole product.[/EXPAND]
